Love this mermaid barbie! This is my 4 year olds new favorite bath toy. She loves mermaids and dolls in general, and this barbie covers both of those. She loves the lights and her tail.
I do wish her crown stayed on better. It came with two tags holding the crown on her, and I decided not to clip them so that the crown would stay on her. But even with the tags holding the crown to her head, it still moves around.
I am also worried about the water sensors on her back and if they will erode eventually. I'm making sure that after every bath she gets set out to dry well in hopes that it will keep her in working order. So far so good, but she's only had it for a week.
Overall this is a very fun Barbie doll especially if your little likes mermaids.

My almost 2 year old loves mermaids and Barbies, so I figured this particular Barbie would make a really great addition to her Easter basket. Most Barbies are too old for her or have too many small parts. This Barbie doesn't have any small parts that she could choke on (the crown is held on by plastic tags but you could cut them off and remove the crown if you have a younger child). My daughter absolutely loves how she lights up in and out of the water and the doll's hair dries perfectly after the bath as if it was never wet. Very hard to find a bath toy/doll that can get wet and doesn't become gross afterwards. The battery is well protected inside her back too. She is very sturdy too, not like the cheaper Barbie Fashion dolls. Well worth the money! I can see why it's a bestseller!

Cute toy. The lights are a cool feature. I don't love barbie's hair. My daughter doesn't seem to notice. She's only 1.5. But the back of barbie's hair looks like someone gave her a hack job... if someone cut my hair like that I'd be mad! But I didn't change my rating because it doesn't really affect how a child would play with the doll and it's still a neat toy and is fun to take to the pool or beach. The lights work great and it's very colorful and eye catching to a child. It does't bend though which I thought was a bit odd, but this is my first barbie purchase, so maybe that's normal now. I would buy again.

This is the ONLY thing my daughter asked for for Christmas. She is in love with this Barbie. It sleeps with her, it goes in the bath with her, and in the car with her. It has held up for this long, and so far we have had no structural issues with it; not even with the hair. It's obviously well made, and I would recommend it for other little ones.
